How do I earn and redeem Scene+ points at Cineplex?

Movies & concession

Grab your popcorn and settle in. You can earn and use Scene+ points at Cineplex theatres across Canada when you watch the latest blockbusters or indie favourites. Points apply to movie tickets and food and drinks purchased at Cineplex theatres, including Cineplex VIP Cinemas and Lounges, as well as concession brands like Outtakes®, YoYo’s Yogurt Café®, Pizza Pizza®, Poptopia®, and Starbucks® where available. 

Earn:

• Get 5 Scene+ points for every $1 spent on eligible movie tickets and concession purchases.

• You may earn additional points when you pay with a qualifying Scotiabank credit card.

• Scene+ points usually appear in your account within 48 hours, though promotional offers may take longer. 

Redeem:

• You can redeem 100 Scene+ points for $1 toward movie tickets, food, or drinks, or redeem 500 points for $5 off other eligible purchases.

• You can also use your points to get Cineplex gift cards through your Scene+ account by going to Rewards and selecting Gift Cards.

• Please note: Redemptions can’t be applied to taxes, gratuities, or alcohol.

Entertainment

You can also earn and use Scene+ points on entertainment, dining, and games at select Cineplex entertainment venues, including The Rec Room and Playdium.

Rec Room

Discover the best arcade games, recreational games, and dining at The Rec Room! Enjoy a restaurant and bar, live music, bowling, axe throwing, augmented reality games, and more at 12 locations in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Ontario and Quebec. 

Earn

• At The Rec Room, you can earn Scene+ points on food and drinks, games, and entertainment purchases.

• Each $1 spent earns 1 Scene+ point on eligible purchases made at participating locations across Canada.

• Points usually appear in your account within 48 hours, although promotions may take longer to process. 

Redeem

• You can use your Scene+ points at The Rec Room by redeeming 500 points for $5 off food, drinks, or game credits.

• For all other eligible purchases, you can redeem 1,000 Scene+ points for $10 off.

Playdium

Grab a game band and take control! Battle it out in Playdium’s 90+ arcade games, immerse in VR games, score a strike (or strike out) in bowling, or walk the edge on their ropes course at any of the 4 locations in Nova Scotia and Ontario.
