Redeeming Scene+ points with Scotiabank

You can use your Scene+ points with Scotiabank in two main ways: Points for Credit or applying points to eligible travel purchases.

Points for Credit

Points for Credit lets you redeem Scene+ points toward the balance of a Scotiabank card linked to your Scene+ account.
Redemptions can be applied to both credit and debit cards and are issued as cash or statement credit.

The redemption rate for Points for Credit is 150 points for $1.

Here's how:

Step 1: Sign in to your Scene+ account.
Step 2: Click Rewards → Points for Credit
Step 3: Select the Scotiabank card you want to use.
Step 4: Select the redemption amount.
Step 5: Review details, read Terms & Conditions, then click Continue.
Step 6: Wait for the on‑screen confirmation that your request was submitted.

All Points for Credit redemptions are final and can’t be reversed or refunded.
Redemptions also can’t be stacked, so each request must be completed separately.

Use Scene+ for travel

You can also redeem Scene+ points toward eligible travel purchases such as flights, hotels, resorts, car rentals, and transit, as long as the purchase was paid for with a Scotiabank card linked to your Scene+ account.
Points are applied as cash or credit to your card.

The redemption rate for travel is 100 points for $1.

Here's how:

Step 1: Sign in to your Scene+ account.
Step 2: Click Rewards → Travel → Apply Points to Travel.
Step 3: Review How It Works and the Terms & Conditions.
Step 4: Select the Scotiabank card used for the travel purchase.
Step 5: Select the exact month and year the transaction was posted.
Step 6: Choose the travel transaction you want to redeem against.
Step 7: Review and confirm the order, then click Continue.

Travel redemptions are final, and Scene+ points can’t be refunded, reversed, or customized.
If you don't have enough points to cover the full cost of a travel purchase, your entire points balance will be applied.
Each travel transaction can only be redeemed once, and you have up to one year from the purchase date to redeem, starting with your oldest eligible transactions.
